Day One:

1) 4th Industrial Revolution and Digital Transformation Practice of Global Economies

  • Explaining how Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation changed the landscape of the global economies
  • Showcase on examples of potential business models, including best practices of Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation
  • The broader scope of 4th Industrial Revolution in the perspective of contributing to the society, including smart cities

Day Two:

2) Smart City Global Convergence

  • Discovering the 4th Industrial Revolution and its impact to smart city initiatives all around the world
  • Introducing the basic fundamentals of smart cities, solutions and technologies of smart city cases and practices, and how smart cities are planned, financed, and implemented in real world
  • Envisioning the future of smart cities, from the role of universities, research centers, global cooperation, to the introduction of smart citizenship, smart entrepreneurs and smart policy-making
  • Highlighting the importance of establishment of Global Open Innovation Networks and Groups (GOING)

3) Climate Change and Digital Technology

  • What is Green Smart Technology and its relation with the Sustainable Development Goals?
  • Explaining the reason for linkage between Green and Smart Technology: How can smart technology solve the environment and climate issues?
  • Introducing the practice of smart green transformation of the Korean government initiatives, using data, network, and artificial intelligence ecosystem framework

Prof. Junseok Hwang from Seoul University will guide you on how the Fourth Industrial Revolution changes the world: from economies through cities to actual business organizations. Deep knowledge from a World Bank expert.

Prof. Hwang has educated and advised more than 200 post graduate government officials, public researchers, academic and industry leaders from about 50 countries as global leaders of ICT innovation and smart city development. Along with the world-wide network of Technology Management, Economics and Policy Program(TEMEP), International Technology Professional Program (ITPP) and Smart City Global Convergence Program (SCGC), he hosts annual International Symposia on Green, Smart, Development and Vision (GSDV) to exhibit transdisciplinary ICT innovation research and practices as a part of global knowledge sharing and collaboration. Currently, he is leading the national funded BK21 program, Smart City Global Convergence (SCGC) Program in SNU as a program director with the dedicated mission of educating international technology specialists and smart city experts from around the globe. His current research focuses on economics of information and networks, management and policy of convergence technologies, social impact study and forecasting of emerging technologies, knowledge and intelligence management. Recent research areas also include smart city technology innovation, sustainability of technology management, appropriate technology for developing economy and community, fourth industrial revolution education, digital transformation.
